I want a divorce and we have a house that is behind on payments what can I do about this problem

First what do you want to do with the house. You could put it up for sale and if necessary sell it on a short sale. Make arrangements with your mortgage company for a modification of your mortgage debt. Talk to a bankruptcy attorney about your options.
