Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

in my divorce papers it states that i get to claim my son on the even years, do i need to get her to sign anything? or since it is laid out on paper do i not need to worry about it

As long as you are acting within the directives of your divorce decree, you may claim the child accordingly. You do not need the other parent's permission. But, you might send them a note reminding them that you get to claim the child for 2010, so they don't accidently do the same, and cause you problems with the IRS.

I believe that there is an IRS form that your ex can sign in the years you take the claim and vice versa.
