is it possible to keep my divorce private without it being publicized in the newspaper, and if it would help to get my divorce finalized in another county for it not to be printed in local paper

The record can be closed if there is a legitimate safety concern (i.e. if you are in law enforcement or for some other reason need to keep your address private). However, for the most part, your remedy is to file in another county. Venue is waivable if both you and your soon to be ex spouse agree to have the matter brought in another county. There may be other issues, however, if there are children involved.
