Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I got divorced back in 1995.My ex-wife took my kids and moved out of town so I was unable to visit or even contact them.So I didn't pay any support because I didn't even know where they even lived. In 2000 I got a threatening letter saying that if I don't pay they will prosecute.I sold almost everything I had and sent them $2000 and since then when I'm working I pay.I payed an extra 4 years on my daughter for going to college even though I was given no proof that she actually went. Now I'm currenly unemployed and they're threatening prosecution again.I haven't seen my kids since 1995.Don't I have any rights.Like I said;when I'm working I pay every week.I don't think it is fair to persecute me for simply not being able to find a job.Quite frankly, the kids probably don't even know me seeing that I have'nt seen them in over ten years and don't even know where they are living.

If your children are emancipated you need to file a termination of child support (motion to modify). Go to the Courthouse and file such a termination on the children that are emancipated. If you have other children younger, you would then modify the child support.
