Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I am divorced with a 13 yr. old and 9 yr. old sons...they live w/me and my boyfriend and see their father every other weekend. My ex husband tells me that since our son is 13 he can go live w/him if he wants. and i can't stop him...we both have joint/physical custody of the children...there are no major concerns at either household...can he actually do that? or is it just up to my son?

Your ex is wrong unless the court order spells out exactly what he says. The court order is controlling and only the court has the authority to change it's terms. The child does not have any right to decide.
