Re: Divorce/no children,no property
From your question it would appear that you are trying to represent yourself in a dissolution of marriage. Our Supreme Court is apparently attempting to encourage such action by making forms available at the clerk's office. The law prevents the clerks from giving out legal advice since the clerks are not lawyers. This leaves many "pro se" litigants such as yourself filling out forms with basically no idea or understanding of the legal concepts involved, the legal requirements involved, or the legal consequences of their actions. There is absolutely no doubt that many people who choose not to hire a lawyer to provide legal services will wind up causing themselves, the courts and others a great deal of legal damage. Although you feel that you do not need a lawyer, it would appear that you have no qualms seeking free legal advice through this website, and thus have your cake and eat it too. My advice would be to hire an attorney.
