Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

emancipation

My daughter married at 17 and became emancipated thus child support payments stopped coming to me from her father. She is now 19 and getting divorced. She also now has a 2 year old son and wants to move back in with me, her mother. Can I have the child support resumed in MO, especially since she is attending a technical school? I know the child support laws state that I can receive support until they are 22 or attend a college/technical school, which ever comes first but I am not familiar with MO emancipation laws? Thanks Kathleen

Re: emancipation

No. Your daughter is emancipated. Read the child support statute.
