Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My exwife has recently been incarcerated and is facing a small amount of jail time. We spoke and she has agreed to sign over custody to me from jail. Do I have to use a Lawyer to do this? Or can we draw up the parenting plan ourselves and have a notary present when she signs and turn it into the courts ourselves?

I would strongly suggest that you consult with and use an attorney with something as important as the custody of your children.
