Re: FC CS Paternity

The initials probably stand for Family Court and Child support. Do you really want to represent yourself on a case as important as this? If so, you are going to be asking a lot more questions on lawguru over the course of the next several months. This area of the law can be quite complicated and even attorneys like me who have handled such cases for many years must work very hard to keep up with the law and protect our clients' legal rights. If you wind up being wrongully adjudged to be the father of a child and ordered to pay child support this decision will effect you every day of your life for 18 to 22 years and will cost you many thousands of dollars. I have had several men as clients who believed that they were the father only to follow my advice and eventually learn that they ere not and thereby avoid spending all of their emotions, energies, time and money on someone elses' child. Please consult with an attorney.
