Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My friend has a boyfriend and she has 2 kids with him and 2 from previous relationship. Her boyfriend is mentally and verbally abusive to her and her kids. He is controlling and wont let her do anything, the home they live in is in his name their vehichles are in his name, checking accounts in his name, they have been together for almost 8 years. She lives far away from friends and family in a very small city. She wants to get away, but is afraid he will chase after her legaly. she has called me before saying he tried to throw her off their balcony. the father of the other 2 children has been put in jail recently for child support. Her boyfriend thinks he can evict her and because of the case with her other childrens father she cant do anything about it. What can she do at this point to get her and her children out of the mentally and verbaly abusive house hold?

Your friend might want to look into a safe house. She may be able to get legal help there as well as keep herself and her children safe.
