In general the process is showing a change in the circumstances of the child. If they gradaute high school, quit particiapting in extra curricular or otherwise extra fee activities. There may also be a modification based upon a substantial circumstance in the other parents finances. But, this type of modification is rare. But, limited resources of the oblgator (parent who owes support) is not usually an acceptable basis for a child support reduction.

The mechanism to alter the child support obligation is a "Motion to Modify Support Order" and there are several forms that attornies use to move the court in such a way. Perhaps you can buy a form from an attorney in your area. Or, you coudl hire an attorney for the limited purpose of assisting you in drafting yoru owen Motion to Modify, without entering theri appearance or arguing the motion in your case.

Good luck
