Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
My girl friend was married to someone. and he feel and hurt himself. he did not have any medical insurance. on the divorce apart of the agreement he signed that he would pay any of bills he had made. and it was signed in court.
well they contacted my girl friend and summoned her to court. would she be liable to pay the amount. given she has the signed statement in court that he agreed to pay all outstanding debt.
theres a chance that she signed him into the hospital. because he had both arms broke. would that make a difference if so? but the bill is in her ex husbands name. not hers at all.
please send a copy of this too [email protected] if its good news to end my girls worrying. thanks.

Your girlfriends divorce agreement does not effect the creditor's right to come after her for payment. If she was liable to them without the agreement, she still is. But, the agreement may enable her to go after her ex, for repayment of anything she has to pay to the hospital, doctors, etc.
