Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I am the guardian/conservator of an incapacitated/disabled woman. I feel that my current attorney is misleading me. He was supposed to turn in my inventory to the court and he hasn't so now I am in jepordy of being in contempt of court. He also said that I cannot use even $5 of her money for her without a court order but I was recently told by a trusted source that I can write a check as long as it is under $500 and keep the receipt without a court order. My Protectee has a $10,000 check that my attorney has yet to talk to the judge about. I can't even get her funeral expences paid and she is in ICU right now. She has many needs that are not being met because of this attorney. What do I do?

You may need to seelk another attorney. In decidng that you might get a second opinion as to how the case is being handled. This limited forum doesn't allow enough information for that to occur here. Meet personally with another probate attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation.

Good luck
