Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My ex husband and I have been divorced for almost a year. According to our decree he was suppose to get the mortgage out of my name due to him being the remaining occupant of the house. I had moved out. He has failed to do so and now the property is either up for short sale or possible foreclosure therefore ruining my credit and chances of buying a house for my daughters and I in the near future. My question is, is there any legal ramifications of not abiding by the decree as he failed to do?

When someone does not abide by the court orders you can file a motion for contempt (application to show cause) once you have taken all other steps. You might wish to contact an attorney to get the order enforced. However you are facing time constraints and may want to talk to an attorney about your other practical alternatives.
