my husband has filed for divorce and i am in the process of saving money for a lawyer, he hired a lawyer that was in the office we used in 1995 for an adoption , is that a conflict of interest?

The situation you described, may represent a conflict that could disqualify an attorney from that office form representing your husband against you. If you provided any confidential informationwith that firm, then you should write to that attorney, or the managing partner of that firm and ask them to withdraw from representing your husband, because of the earlier joint representation..
