Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My husband is in Jail charged with first degree murder from a cold case. If he gets out on bond can I keep him from coming to our home and keep him from our kids? He does not have a violent history. I'm concerned that he will try to keep me from testifying in court or that he could disappear with my youngest child.

You may be able to obtain an Adult Abuse Order of Protection from the court where you live if you are able to show that you are afraid of your husband or that he has done anything that is listed on the form Petition that you file. You do not absolutely have to have an attorney to do this, but in many cases an attorney can be helpful.
