Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
If myself and my husband have lived together for almost 10 years in (state of Missouri), and have married come up on two years, have no children together, I have 3 children though that have lived with us both for all of those 10 years; No one has cheated on either party; but we no longer seem to love each other. My husband is very controling with everything. Everything is in his name not our name, with exception to one car that is in both of our names. He says that I will get nothing in the divorce. I'm not sure if that is just another way to control me or not. He is 23 years older then me, and has stated many times he will need me to take care of him when he is older. He also pushed me to go back to school, I am now almost $50,000 because of this. Do I have a chance to receive anything other then debit from our marriage if we divorce?

You may be able to get spousal support. Obvioulsy, the children's father(s) should support the children. If you have puchased items during the marriage that were bought with money earned by either of you during the marriage, then you may aslo get some property aor the money equivalent if you divorce. You will likely carry some of your debt with you. This is a very genralized response to yrou genral quyestion. Before you decide to act, you should communicate directly with a family law attorney in your area. they can discuss the actual facts of your cased and help you weigh your options.
