Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
Husband took all money
Hello,
Me and my husband both stayed in US for 7 years in Missouri state and we came to India as he is behaving abnormally torchuring me physically, mentally and also for money and when we both came to India and stayed India for couple of money we decided to stay back here in India itself and only my husband went to US to close the apartment and to close the bank matters.
I worked in US for 2 yrs and my money went to Joint account and I given authorization for my personal money to him and he took all my monies and after coming back he and his family members cheated me and took all my money and asking me to get more money as dowry from my parents and brothers, and torturing me mentally and physically as well.
So I felt very bad and put a 498a on him and couple of his family members also.
Now I am in India and I am in need of my money is there any way that I can put a case on him at US court by staying in India he is also in India now and we both are legally bonded and our Green Card is under process.
Please advice me can I do anything for the money which I lost at US.
Thanks in Advance
Divya

Since you have fialready filed a 498A meanwhile see to it that his Passport is deposited in the Courts so that he cannot leave the country.

Divya, I am sorry for your suffering. You may have both the options - to add all these facts in your498-A complaint and thereby request for adding 406 in your complaint for recovery of the 'istridhan'.
Alternatively, you may also sue him in USA; but depending upon the amount involved, that option may be expensive and less effective, more particularly since he has not moved out of USA.
