Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My husband is part of a life estate with his brother (for their parents both still living) the property was exempt from bankruptcy Court, is it also exempt from divorce court, or can my husbands interest in the property be awarded to me as part of the divorce settlement.

Based upon the facts you described, your in-laws house is not part of your marital property. You appear to have no claim to it. But, there may a lawyer out there that might have a theory where this uncertain future inheritance can be considered in the division of marital property.
