Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
Hi. My soon to be ex husband wants to waive having to pay child support. According to form 14 calculations, when I list him as the one paying child support he would have to pay me for support of 3 children. We have split physical and legal custody 50/50. I pay the medical, dental and health insurance, which equates to a total of $285.00 a month. His annual income is approximately 95k and mine is approximately 110k.
In the settlement agreement he is proposing that no child support be paid. He also has indicated that if I want to pursue him for the child support he will try to turn this around and come after me for child support as my income is higher. Does this sound reasonable? Am I at risk for having to pay him child support? If I decide to pursue this and go after him for the child support, do you think I have a chance?

You need to discuss this with the attorney representing you in the divorce. But, it sounds like you are vulnerable to having to pay support to him, because of the income difference.
