In Missouri you can hire a an attorney toi file a responsive pleading in court denying that the marriage is irretrievably broken. Then, if the case goes to trial and if the Judge believes you and not your husband, the Judge might order a Legal Separation instead of a Dissolution of Marriage. But, if this happens, the Judge will give you another Court date to return to Court. if the marriage has not been saved by that date, the Judge can convert the initial Legal Separation into a Dissolution of Marriage. The law is not going to make someone stay married who doesn't want to do so.
