Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Informal legal separation - have filed for divorce.

My husband is dragging his feet about the divorce as he has nothing to gain. However, in the meantime I am paying bills & his also - I am afraid of ruining my credit. Is there some way I can get him to be responsible for his bills? He is living in the primary residence & I am renting (abuse caused all this). He has no income, poor health & no inclination to do anything to fix the house or pay his bills. My lawyer tells me to list the house as is & get this over with. Any suggestions?

You should either follow the advice of the lawyer you are paying for advice, or fire that lawyer and hire someone else. Good luck.
