Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
My issue is that in our court ordered agreement I have my children from June 1st "through" July 31st. My question is what day do I have to take my kids back? Is it on the 31st or the 1st of August? My ex-wife is stating that they need to be back on the 31st or she will call the sheriff. I don't want to do anything illegal so I need to know if I can Legally bring them back first thing in the morning on August 1st. Thanks

Courts prefer that parents corporate. Based upon the facts you described, the kids are due to be at their mothers house at 12:00 am on August1st if you had then from 12:00 am on June 1st. If you didn't get them until later inz June 1, then a similar time on August first, would probably be un compliance. However, if the mother has a specific need, such as she and the kids have a 6:00am flight fire a vacation, would trigger your duty to cooperate. If you got them at 8:00 am on June1, bringing them back at that time on August1, (and telling her that advance) should prevent the Sheriff from doing anything.
Good luck
Bring them back on the 31st. You don't get any custody on August 1.
