Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Is there a law that prohibits family members to be paid for taking care of their family? For example, if a nephew takes care of his uncle (visits, pushes wheelchair outside to smoke, drives uncle around, etc.) and then uncle dies, and nephew wants to be compensated for his time and care effort from the uncles trust...?

Thanks!

There is no law that I know of that would prohibit a family member from seeking compensation for services rendered to the deceased during his life. In fact, there are many cases in which compensation has been sought and court ordered. You should consult with an attorney who handles these matters regularly.
