Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I had to get a lawyer for a custody battle, and was quoted $1,500 but charge thousands more. The lawyer did not represent me in a good way and way over charged me. Now they have a judgement on me and keep putting a hold on my checking account. They have done this twice to me in last month. What can i do?

The Missouri Bar has a fee dispute resolution program. It might still be possible to use this, even though the calim for fees appears to have gone to judgment. Contact the Missouri Bar in Jefferson City and ask about the program. They offer a mediation service.
