is it legal in missouri to cohabitate without being married? if my ex is doing this can i use it to get more custody of my child?

Unfortunately, shacking up is no longer a basis for altering a custody order. If the person they are living with is dangerous or someohow injurios to the child, that changes things wheter they are married or not. But, just living with another adult is not illegal nor viewed as improper in family court.
