Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I live in Calif and have a custody/ support case in MO. Lost legal council due to inability to pay. I have been fighting for the right to see my son for over a year and it has wiped me out financially. My X has endless funds to draw on and has used this to win. I have court on the 18th of May in MO. Due to finances and health issues, I am unable to make this court date. Can I request a postponement with out an attorney?

You can request a continuance. Icannot predict if the court will give it to you. If there is an imbalance infinances, youmay be able to request that the other parent pay your legal fees. You may also request appointed counsel. but, since you previoously had private counsel, the court may refuse to grant either request. You might try reposting, and list which Missouri county the custody case is in.Perhaps someone local will see it.

Good luck
