Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I live in Michigan but my son lives in Missouri, he will be turning 15 years old in Jan and I wanted to know once he turns 18 years old and goes to college will I have to continue child support? The reason that I am asking this is because his mother will have nothing saved for he to go to college and I wanted to take the child support and help him pay for college. Is this a good plan or will I have to continue to pay her money that she will spend on herself and the other child and live in BF.

Is the court order for child support from a Missouri Court? If so, my opinion would be that the child support obligation will continue until th child is 21 or graduates from college whichever occurs first, provided that the child is enrolled fulltime by October 1 followng graduation from high school, and otherwise complies wtih the requirements of the child support statute. You may seek a Court Order allowing you to make the child support payments directly to the child or to the college in certain circumstances.
