Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I currently live in MO. My ex husband has physical custody of our son in NC. My daughter is a ward of the state of Florida due to her being wrongly taken through false allegations. My ex husband got a judge in NC to order support from me for both children. NC claims Florida gave them permission to pursue child support on my daughter. Is this normal? My attorney in Florida has heard nothing of this. And I consulted a local attorney who said this isn't how things are done and something isn't right here. Can yiu give me better information?

It is impossible to give informed advice without seeing all the documents. But if all states are signatories to the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act and a child has lived in that state has jurisdiction to modify the decree with regard to that child.
