Do you mean that you want to fight your spouse's efforts to obtain a dissolution of marriage? If so, you can deny that the marriage is irretievably broken, and eventually the Judge will issue a Legal Separation with the condition that the two of you come back to court within a certain time period within the trial court's discretion. At that time, either the marriage will be saved and the case dismissed, or the Judge will convert the Legal Separatin into a Dissolution of Marriage. The whole process may take several months or longer depending upon a variety of factors.
