Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
Getting Married and Child Support
I am getting married this June and I am currently ordered to pay child support through the court in Clayton MO. I am marrying a women who makes 3 times what I make and we are afraid of my ex wife starting to sue us for child support and getting more money dues to our combined salary.
So is my new wife responsible for child support if I am not able too pay?
Last questions, I am court ordered to pay half the cost of karate classes and I found out that my son hasnt gone in 5 months and I have been paying full price for this, what can i do now that I am paying 100% of this fee and she isnt taking my son to the classes. I dont mind paying but to waste 500.00 when I could have used that for something else like braces really upsets me. Please any advice would be helpful.
Looking for a GREAT and WISE Attorney in MO that can set my ex wife straight and help me out.

You do not have to worry about your ex getting an increase in child support due to your new wife's income. If you have joint legal custody, you can agree with the ex to cancel the karate. If not, you can seek reimbursement for the money you have spent on kare classes she has not allowed the child to take.
