Re: getting married to someone who owes back child support

You have no reason to worry. You are not legally responsible for the child support obligations of the person you marry. So, your wages will not be subject to garnishment. If you keep your money in your own bank account, your bank account can not be garnished. In fact, there is some law to the effect that bank accounts held jointly (by the entireties) by husband and wife are not subject to garnishment by a judgment creditor of only one of the two. I hope that this has been helpful, and I wish you a very happy marriage.
