Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

How do you know if you are mentioned in a will!

Someone told my sister that a friend had left her son something in her will when she passed away. The person refuses to tell her how she knows but says the attorney for the deceased was trying to locate the son. How can she find out if indeed her son was mentioned in the will? Or how can we find out who the attorney or exectutor of her estate is?

I would suggest that you check with the clerk's office in the Probate Court in the county where the deceased person lived or owned real estate. The Will may be filed there, and it is a public record that you would be able to read for yourself.
