Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
help in michigan for missouri
Last year my ex wife tried to get assistance from the State Missouri and the State of Missouri sent me a paternity letter, stating that paternity must be established for my son and that I was $21,000 in the rears. Now, I have been paying my ex-wife on good faith and she called the State and verified that I was current with child support and that we didnt need to verify paternity because (my son) is mine. So the State absolved me from the payments that was owed. Good Faith means I have been writing checks and can obtain all the payments that I have paid for my son since the divorce in 1996 when the court in KY established the visitation and child support.Well, every since then I have been having the time of my life trying to get my ex-wife to quit making up rules as she goes with my visitation here in Michigan. She has stated that since I chose to move to Michigan then she can change the visitation for her benefit and I just have to live with it. Hence, I get my son only for 5 weeks in the summer instead of 12 week which the court appointed to me through regular visitation. What can I do? I would like to get this established in the courts of Missouri and found out more about the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Enforcement Act.
