can a minor child sue for rights to her half sister?

A minor child can not sue. However, the law provides that an adult may be appointed by the court to serve as "Next Friend" and sue in the name of a minor child. I suppose that it is possible under certain conditions that a court might award custody of a child to a child, but I have never heard of it being done.
