Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My mother married a man 2 years ago. Three months ago she found out that he was married to a lady in Mexico and just got a divorce. Is her marrage legal? Last month mom got an exparta granted buy a judge in the town we live, she came to live with me and my boyfriend. That caused stress with out realitionship so mom decided that we move back in the house ( her husband and her are renting to own)due to the fact that her husband is now and has been living in the shead (on the property) for the last 8 months. Today he told her if she wants a divorce that he would leave but she will have to give him 6000 dollars. This man has not payed a house note or any bills for at lease 1 year. What is her legal right what should she do?

Your Mother needs to file a Petition in Court seeking an annullment.
