Re: Motion for leave to file amended complaint

A party to a lawsuit may file a Motion as you describe seeking leave of Court to file another "complaint" as you put it containing new or additonal allegations and replacing the original "complaint" filed by that party. If you are a party to a lawsuit and you are not represented by legal counsel, perhaps you should be.

There are numerous Motions that can be filed and numerous Rules and other contolling law governing the proper procedure to be followed.
