There is a relocation statute which requies you to provide written notice setting forth various specific things by certified mail well in advance of any proposed move. YOur ex would then have the option of filing an objection to yor relocation in court and you could leave it up to a judge whether you are allowed to move or not. Most of the time the custodial parent is allowed to move as long as adeqequate provisions are made for the other parent to have visitation.
