Relatively recent changes to the law do require us to file two Petitons in a situation such as yours, but I believe that there will only be one filing fee requried, and the two cases will be consolidated, or at least handled together. I have had a good number of these since the law changed, and I still charge the same retainer fee and hourly rate that I charged before the law changed.
