Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My parents divorced 30 years ago but in their decree my mother had it made that my father's policeman's pension should go to myself and my siblings if and when anything happened to him. My father has since remarried and has made a new will that has excluded my siblings from anything of his, property, etc. Does the divorce decree superceed his new will and are my siblings enititled to the penion as stated in divorce. My father is alive my mother just passed and she gave me a copy of the divorce decree and her wishes were for his natural children to have that pension. What are the laws regarding this?

If your father agreed to limit his options as to his pension, you might be able to hold him to it. But, if it was just something your Mom had put into her uncontested divorce filing, it probably has no effect or power. You should hire an attorney to examine the relevant documents, in order to advise you of your options.

Good luck
