Power of attorney

Hi can you please tell me how i can find out if my sister has power of attorney over my mom??? And the steps i would take to get dual power of attorney and how long would this process take thank you

In the first place, no one has power of attorney "over" another person. One person may sign a power of attorney authorizing another person to do certain things or all things legally for the first person. In your case I would suggest asking either your mother or your sister. If the power of attorney specifically authorizes dealing in real estate then it may be recorded with the county recorder of deeds, and you can check there. Otherwise there is no requirement that a power of attorney be recorded. If you want you mother to name you on a power of attorney, you should talk to your mother.
