pregnant during divorce

In missouri what would happen if you were in the middle of a divorce and got prenant by someone else? Would I have to use my ''husbands'' last name when my child is born?

Re: pregnant during divorce

First, advise your attorney of your condition. Obtain all of your legal advice from your attorney. Generally speaking, the Court can not grant you a dissolution of marriage while you are pregnant. (Read your Petititon where you state to the Court that you are not pregnant.) In all liklihood, your attorney will file an amended pleading seeking a determination of paternity and other appropriate orders regarding your new child. If you do not have an attorney, you really do need one!
