Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I am in the process of filing for divorce. My husband had a consultation with an attorney yesterday and was told that maintenance isn't usually awarded these days. We have been married for almost 26 years, he makes 4 times what I make partly due to the fact that I either didn't work or took low paying part time jobs in order to raise my children. Am I not entitled to some sort of maintenance legally?
