Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

What process needs to be done to modify child support in Missouri. Divorce was final in August 2013, but father lost job in January and father has just gone back to work, but in a position that is $14.00 an hour less than his previous job. He is currently paying $1400.00 per month for 2 children. He was able to make the payment in January 2014, but it was very hard in Feb, and he was unable to make it in March or yet for April. We have heard both ways that this can and can not be changed. The ex-wife will not agree to an adjustment, and if this is a possibility it would have to be done in court. Advice????

He has to fille a motion to modify. He should do well. If there is a 2010 reduction in the child support amount it should be granted
