Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
quatro?
in 1995 I was divorced and monies owed to me are to be paid upon my spouses retirement directly to me though being set up for a ''quatro'' or ''quadron''. Explain what that is and how I will receive the monies since I have moved but still remain in the state of Missouri where the divorce was granted?

Re: quatro?
One of the attorneys in the divorce case should have prepared a "QDRO", which is short for Qualified Domestic Relations Order. This is a document signed by the Judge and provided to the plan administrator of your spouse's retirement benefits plan, so that the plan administrator will have some Order directing him or her what to do when the benefits become payable. You should have a copy of the QDRO. Contact your attorney or the court to obtain a copy if you do not have one. Also, you will need to keep the plan administrator advised on any address changes. He or she will need to know your current address when the benefits become payable so that he or she will know where to send your checks.
