Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I have a question concening some of the laws pertaining to legal guardians. I am an adult under guardianship. I am in a relationship and we are wanting to get married. The guardian i have is a public administrator and he has been my guardian for a little over 13 years. I was not informed when i was in the hospital that the doctors were filing. I do not trust the guardian and he is not helpful to me in any situation. I want to know if he can stop us from getting married or do we have the right to go forth with the wedding. Donna Johnstone

It sounds like you may have to petition the court to terminate the guardianship in order to be able to marry.

Good luck
