Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I'm getting ready to relocate to Texas, where my husband is already working, from Missouri, since I lost my job in Missouri. We're going to leave my 15 year old with our best friends for 1 to 2 months until we can get settled. What do we need to do for them to be able to make decisions, etc. for him?

There is a statute that allows a parent or parents to grant a special Power of Attorny to someone to take care of a child for up to one year. This is easily and inexpensively prepared. However, if the chid is in school or will be attending school it may make a huge difference if the District does not accept the Power of Attorney for the purpose of estabishing the child's address.

Check ddirectly with the school or school district. If a Power of Attorney will do , I would be happy to prepare what you need for a modest fee. Please fell free to call me.
