Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
I recently was divorced. The marital residence was sold and the credit cards were paid from the proceeds. After a certain date no purchases on the cards were considered marital debt. My ex's attorney was in charge of paying off the mortgages, credit cards and dividing up the remaining funds. At the time the house sold I had my lawyer request all of the ex's credit card statements from the certain date. It has been over a month and have not seen anything from the lawyer. He is asking me to provide more information but has yet to produce any to me. My lawyer has made three requests for the information and none has been sent. Every time I have to call my lawyer and ask him about the information it costs me. I can not afford to keep having him call or send an email to the opposing attorney. Is there any way I can make him produce the requested information? Can I or should I contact the judge in the case?

The judge will likely not take your call. Ask your attorney if it is time to register a fierce answer Order, or move for a contenpt citation. If it's only been a month or so, it probably isn't time yet. If you're calling asking for action more often than once a month, that explains why you're being billed for each call.
