Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I recently divorced after a little over two year battle with my husband in divorce court. The problem now is, that one week prior to physically taken possession of the property awarded to me, my husband became incapacitated. It appears he will be recovering for some time in a nursing home. Is there anything that I can do so that I can take possession of my property? Part of the property awarded to me were cattle that were to be divided in such a manner where he picks one, I pick one, and so on. His mother was a third-party respondent in this. I don't know anything about who is taking care of the cattle awarded to me, or about any of the other property. My view is that it is my property now, and I should be allowed to go get it. What do you think?

Under the facts you described, it appears that you may claim your cattle and other property, But, you should consult with the attorney that represented you in the divorce first. If you have to take control of all the cattle, you need to take care of his cattle until he can claim them. If someone is representing his interests, then you may not have to care for his cattle for him.

Good luck
