Reimbursement of Pregnancy Costs

A woman became pregnant after a one time encounter. She wants me to pay her medical expenses because she does not have insurance. Am I responsible?

You may be responsible for medical expense and child support if you are legally determined to be the father of the child. I would suggest that you take the initiative and obtain DNA testing. This can be done by consent, or if she has a problem with it, you can obtain a Court Order. It would be a very costly mistake for you to be responsible for child support for a child that you did not father.
